Michael S. Anderson, CIC
President


Michael Anderson is a native Austinite and has been an independent agent since 1992. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2007. Michael currently serves as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin. He currently serves on Zurich’s Western Region Agent’s Council & MetLife’s Southern Agent Advisory Panel Committee. He has served on Safeco’s Central Region Advisory Council, Bristol West’s National Agent’s Council and on an Independent Insurance Agents of Texas Advisory Council in the past. Michael is very active in new business production as well as managing the agency and assisting his current commercial, personal & benefits clients.

Michael grew up working summers in his father’s insurance Agency and in 1992 started working part-time at an Austin based Independent Insurance Agency while attending college. In 2004, Michael decided that he would like to start a firm with another long time Austin insurance professional and Anderson Insurance Partners was founded. Seven years later, the agency has grown to include a staff of ten dedicated insurance professionals servicing the needs of thousands of personal and commercial clients throughout Texas.

In addition to managing the Commercial Lines & Benefits Departments and co-managing the agency, Michael is very active in new business production as well as assisting his current commercial, personal and benefits clients.

When not in the office, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife, Lissa, five year old daughter, Gray and baby son, George. Michael and Lissa are very active in many community, professional and trade organizations.

 
Nancy Heaton
Vice President


Nancy Heaton, a born and raised Austinite, is a native to the insurance world as well. She is married to Ted Heaton, who also works in the insurance industry. Together, Ted and Nancy have two daughters, Meredythe and Margaret. Meredythe is currently enrolled in Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law and Margaret just graduated from the University of Georgia.

Nancy has worked in the insurance field since 1981. Currently, Nancy manages the Personal Lines Department and co-manages the agency. On her free time, Nancy enjoys cheering on our University of Texas Longhorns and the fellows of the Round Rock Express Minor League Baseball team. Many evenings you can spot her circling the Hike and Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake, while she spends her days swimming or shopping around the greater Austin area.

 
Crystal Pharr
Benefits Account Manager


Crystal is a native Austinite and graduate of the University of Texas. After graduation she spent time traveling in Argentina and briefly lived in Dallas before settling back in Austin. She joined Anderson Insurance Partners in the summer of 2009 and is our Benefits Account Manager. In this position Crystal assists the agency’s clients with their individual and group benefits needs.

In her free time, she enjoys running, playing golf, and spending time with friends.

 
Ross Bennett
Producer


Ross is a native Texan and grew up in the Fort Worth area. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Ross is a member of the Greek fraternity Kappa Sigma. Ross recently moved to Austin where he joined the team at Anderson Insurance Partners. As an insurance agent, Ross strives to be an efficient and dependable resource for all of his clients. In his spare time, Ross enjoys golf, going to movies and spending time with family and friends.

 
Ashley Vaughan, RPLU
Producer


Ashley joined Anderson Insurance Partners in 2011. A graduate from the University of North Texas with a degree in Marketing, Ashley obtained her Registered Professional Liability Underwriter + designation in 2011. Ashley was the sixth recipient of this designation in the nation, and the third recipient in the state of Texas. The RPLU+ is an elite designation given by the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. With a background as a Professional Liability Insurance broker, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge to Anderson Insurance Partners in the Professional and Commercial lines department. Ashley enjoys riding equestrian hunter/jumper, spending time at Austin’s pools and lakes, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

 
Shawna Kvalheim, CISR
Commercial Lines Account Manager


Shawna is a native Austinite and has lived in Texas for most of her life with a quick trip to California for two years. She worked for an independent agency in California that focused on Technology business. Upon returning to Texas, Shawna joined the Anderson Insurance Partners Team. She has been in the insurance industry since 1995 and earned her CISR designation last year.

Shawna's outside interests include shooting pool, playing computer games and spending time her husband, Peter, and their newborn daughter.

 
Jennifer Zachry, CLCS
Commercial Lines Account Manager


Jennifer is a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas. She is a mother of two grown kids. She and her family relocated from Dallas to Austin in 1999. She has been in the insurance industry since 1983 and has worked just about every desk at an insurance agency from agency owner to customer service and everything in between. Her love has always been servicing Commercial accounts and as a Commercial Lines Manager, Jennifer enjoys writing new accounts and balancing out our current commercial clients.

When not at the office, you might find Jennifer at a NASCAR race, concert, movie or enjoying a ride in the Texas Hill Country on the back of a motorcycle.

 
Kodi Sisk, CISR
Personal Lines New Business Executive


Kodi is a native Texan and has been in Austin for five years. She loves working in the insurance industry. Kodi handles all of the agency's Personal Lines New Business and is preparing to start work towards her first insurance related professional designation. She enjoys working with new clients to properly insurance them as well as showing them why Anderson Insurance Partners is the right choice to be their Trusted Choice Insurance Agent!

Recently married, Kodi enjoys traveling, reading, the summer time and spending time with her family and friends.

 
Kelly Feole Powers
Personal Lines Account Manager


Kelly relocated to Austin from Richmond, VA in the summer of 2009. After growing up in Connecticut, she received her B.A. from Virginia Tech in Art and Art History. Kelly has worked in the insurance industry since 2005 and enjoys the opportunity to help people.

Ms. Feole is passionate about art, sewing and redesigning clothes, as well as cooking gluten-free food. She takes pleasure in spending time with her friends, her husband who is in graduate school at the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas, as well as her parents, two brothers and one sister who reside all over the country.

As a Personal Lines Account Manager, Kelly provides service to existing clients. She is very excited to be a part of Anderson Insurance Partners.
